Battery replacement - battery health

I have done a lots of battery replacements on Iphone SE 2020. I have had a break for half a year. What I normally do is to cut of the BMS board from the old battery. Spotweld it on a new battery cell. Reset the battery health and counter with a programmer. Then put another battery in the phone to make it forget the old battery capacity. Then put the new battery in with the old BMS board. This normally works without any problems. However, this time I cannot get the phone to forget the old battery capacity. I have tested the BMS board, and the battery health is 100%. This phone is updated to IOS 17. Could it be, that Apple have made a change, so it does not forget the hold battery capacity in IOS 17?
