PS5 disc drive will not read anything

I tried many discs and different orientations for nothing. ive opened it up to find that while the disc is being read there is a light in the disc drive that occasionally flashes red and the mechanism to eject the disc seems to move while reading.

Hi Tristan!

It does sound like the laser is bad/dying and need an replacement.

The best thing to do is to replace the whole laser deck to get it working again.
