Machine draining but not all the way

Maytag top load washer. No error codes, no strange noises, etc. water drains but the clothes are still too wet for the dryer. Run a drain and spin and that does the trick. No hose blockages, took the pump off and no blockage at the pump.

Does a partial drain indicate the pump needs to be replaced?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @buckgerard

What is the complete model number of your washer?

There are 5 different variants of the model i.e. MVWB765FW0 - MVWB765FW4 and they are not all wired exactly the same or use the exact same parts.

The model # is MVW6200KW2. Thanks

Hi @buckgerard

Here's the tech sheet for the washer that may help.

Run the diagnostics as described by the sheet and check if you get an F9 E1 error code.

Here's the tech sheet for some the other models which may help further as it more comprehensive and describes how to check if the drain pump is OK - see Test#7 on p.19.

Here's the parts list for your model. If there's a faulty part, locate the wanted part in the list and it'll show the manufacturer's part number. Search online for the part number to find suppliers that suit you best.

@buckgerard

If the machine is still working, see the 2nd tech sheet linked above for what to check for an F7 E7 error code.
