How to fix a 1 TB hard drive disk that is unknown and not initialized?

I have a 1 TB hard drive that is showing up as "unknown" and "not initialized" in my computer's disk management tool. I am seeking advice on how to resolve this issue and make the drive usable again. What steps should I follow to fix this problem?

Is the data on the drive important? If it just needs to be usable again you can try to initialize it again, This option is typically available by right clicking on the drive in disk management. Just be aware that doing that will erase all the data.

If the data is important, it's worth checking any cable connections and cables in general just to be sure. Is this drive installed internally? Or it's an external drive?
