Top screen flashes white when I try to turn my DSi on

There was a problem with the charging (orange blinking light, had to adjust the battery's position), and after i fixed it, i tried turning the DSi on only for the top screen to flash and turn off instantly. I've tried checking that the bottom screen's properly connected, removed and re-connected all the ribbon cables. Is the only solution to replace the bottom LCD, or is there another possible fix?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi!

The screen which is not flashing isn't connected properly OR the ribbon cable is broken.

There is no other fix I'm afraid. Please be 100% positive that the bottom screen is connected properly. The ribbon cable need to be all the way in.

If you are positive that it is connected properly, then the ribbon cable is damaged and thus the bottom screen need to be replaced.

Good luck with the repair and let us know how it goes!

i'm fairly sure all the ribbon cables are connected, though i'll try removing and connecting them one more time as it can't hurt to try. is there a way to check whether a ribbon cable is functioning? one of the cables has a pretty noticable scratch on it and i'm wondering if it might be the issue

Alright, please double check yes :)!

No... there is no easy way to test it on a different way...

It's for the best to test with a new part, sorry :(.
