What's the make and model number of the laptop?

Do you have a DMM (digital multimeter)?

If not have you access to a another known working compatible laptop charger?

If there's no life signs at all, the first thing to prove is that the charger is supplying power to the laptop. If for example it wasn't then the battery would have not charged and would've discharged during use and therefore it can't be used to start the laptop either

Hi @dennisatherton

Did you check the charger voltage for 19V DC on the output plug of the charger, you didn't mention it?

If the charger is OK the next thing would be to open the laptop and disconnect the DC-In jack cable from the motherboard, then reconnect the charger to the laptop in the normal way and check that there's 19V when measuring between the red and black wires on the DC-In jack cable plug. Ensure that you remove the laptop battery before opening the laptop.

If there's no voltage present then the DC-In jack will have to be replaced as it cannot be repaired.

If there's voltage present at the DC-In jack cable plug then you will need the schematics for the motherboard to find out what's wrong. What's the model number of the motherboard (printed on the board itself)? Should be something like DB10MB-6050A2623101-MB-A02 or similar.

Hi gd jayeff however I did check the charger and voltage it is out putting healthy @ 19.25v DC and I did pull the jack off the board plug back the charger and check the voltage healthy also 19.25v DC however I have exhausted all possibilities to my capabilities and still no sign of life.

@dennisatherton

What is the model number of the motherboard?

Looks like it's a board level problem so the schematics will be needed.

I opened it up from the back however I did not get it thoroughly opened up and I am afraid that something will break so is there another way to open it up bcz I already close it back.

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with a device that has stopped working and won't turn on, even when the power cord is plugged in. This can be frustrating! Let's try some troubleshooting steps:

1. Check the power cord: Ensure it's securely plugged into both the device and the wall outlet.

2. Power button: Try pressing the power button for a few seconds to see if it turns on.

3. Outlet: Verify that the outlet is working by plugging in another device.

4. Battery (if applicable): If the device has a battery, try removing and reinserting it.

5. Reset: Some devices have a reset button; check your user manual or online documentation.

If none of these steps work, it's possible that the device has a hardware issue or needs professional repair. You may want to contact the manufacturer's support or a authorized service center for further assistance.

Let me know if you need more help or have any other questions!
