My iPhone will not turn on and does not show any signs of charging

My iPhone 5s has not been used for a number of years (since it broke, I thought) now I would like to find what is wrong with it.

Here’s the details:

The phone does not display anything

The phones screen is dangling by the cable (when the screen is flipped over you see a mirror on the back)

Is there any advice for me or is the phone cooked?

Edit: I currently have the phone plugged in, I’m going to leave it there for an hour and see what happens
