Washer making loud buzzing noise during wash.

I’m having this same issue on model WTW4950HW3. Any suggestions?

Hi @annaflynn

Could be a shifter fault (FE E5) or a motor problem (F7 E6) perhaps.

Here's the tech sheet for the washer that may help.

Activate the diagnostic test program (Automatic Test mode - see p.4) and check if any error codes are being displayed during the test. There's a Fault/Error Code Display Method chart on p.3 which shows how to interpret the status lights to know what the code is.

On p.6-p.7 there's a list of all the error codes, what they signify and the possible causes for them to occur.

If you find the problem and if it a faulty part that needs replacing, here's a parts list that is useful. Search through the parts list to find the wanted part to view the manufacturer's part number for the part listed with it. Search online for the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.
