MacBook Pro Keyboard and Trackpad Not Working

After changing the battery, the Keyboard and Trackpad stopped working just the power was working, after some research, I went and bought a new cable connector. After installation I just have the power working and CAPS is green. Resetting NVRAM and SMC didn't help Any suggestions I greatly appreciate it.

Can you narrow down your exact model as Apple made quite a few different versions of this series. Take a look here for help EveryMac

This series has two cable connections on the logic board, one for the trackpad and a second for the keyboard which is visible in Steps 27 & 28 this guide MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015 Logic Board Replacement. Did you replace this cable? Or the trackpad cable which is visible in step 29.

@danj I replaced the trackpad cable. But the trackpad didn't work, I can see the cursor at the top left corner but doesn't move. Before changing the cable, the only thing working was the power button. After replacing the cable I can see the CAPS light on but clicking it doesn't turn it off or anything, it just stays on. Maybe the trackpad itself is bad?

@yasserelsheikh - Then the Keyboard cable needs to be checked. Review the steps I pointed to, see if reseating it fixes things.

@danj Unfortunately it didn't... this cable looks intact as far as I can see. I can see the ZIF connector on the trackpad is cracked (not by me lol) could it be the problem?

@yasserelsheikh - Post some pics so we can see things.

@yasserelsheikh - Time to replace the trackpad it’s shot! It’s too much work to replace the connector as it’s to damaged. MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Early 2015) Trackpad

Still need to see the keyboard connector to see what that shows us at the logic board
