Why is the Audio and Video not playing on my laptop?

Due to accidental liquid damage, the audio and video has stopped working on my macbook. I can't play anything online or offline on this device. I think the audio video chip has been damaged and I need to know my options. Other than Apple asking me to pay $700 to change the complete motherboard.

Everything is working fine and as soon as I connect my airpods with the system it works as brand new and everything plays through a Bluetooth audio device. The problem starts when it's not connected to a bluetooth speaker or earphone, every audio and video will stop and gets frozen and doesn't play at all.

Answer this question I have this problem too

@shreysharma you have audio and video when you connect your airpods? When you start your computer you can see your OS desktop etc?

Hey yes, everything is working fine, all softwares, apps, brower's and as I connect an audio device through bluetooth it starts playing the Audio and video on the device connected but as I turn the Bluetooth off the laptop goes deaf and mute 🥹

@shreysharma again, just wondering if your video works when you turn your computer on. Do you see your screen etc. when you turn it on. Not talking about the audio at all just yet.

by

Yep, everything works the trackpad the screen and display is just perfect there is no issue with the display. It works like any new macbook however of I play any video, it just freezes the video and shows an error "unable to play - something went wrong".

@shreysharma problem is that with water damage anything could have happened. Time to remove the lower case and take a look for any corrosion etc. MacBook Pro 14" 2021 Lower Case Replacement post some good pictures of what you see with your question Adding images to an existing question

@shreysharma - In looking at this again, I’m now thinking the logic board and/or the headphone jack it’s self got wet. Reference this guide MacBook Pro 16" 2021 Headphone Jack Replacement

As far an Audio and Video chips there are none! The M1 SoC has these functions internally. Take a look at the section "All the Apple chips you can eat" from the iFixit teardown here 2021 MacBook Pro Teardown: A Glimpse at a Better Timeline.
