PS2 Won't Read Discs

PS 2 slim, powers on, gives access to system options and reads memory cards, but won’t read discs. I cleaned the lens, tried several different game discs, best it does is ask for a disc to be inserted. This happened once before, but did load the game after several attempts. The next time I tried, it won’t, despite many attempts.

I repaired many of those, and yes, most of the time it’s the laser and thus it need to be replaced!
