Nintendo switch battery indicator issue

So I bought the HAC-003 lithium ion battery for nintendo switch and replaced it nicely when I turned my switch on, it came on but the battery indicator said 100 then 5 then 79 then 16. Basically it went nuts, so how do I fix it? Did I do something wrong when replacing it? Can you please help me?

So the switch works normally otherwise? Your best bet is probably calibrating the battery. You can find Nintendo's instructions for that right here.

In case you're curious what battery calibration is, it essentially gives the device a better guess as to the battery percentage, since it doesn't have a way to directly measure the energy in it. Ifixit has a wiki on it here: Battery Calibration
