Console crashes when game card inserted error 2002-2629

Otherwise console works perfectly, no issues, can download virtual games, but as soon as cartridge is inserted crashes

Tried replacing game cartridge slot itself, no changes.

Any ideas?

Hi!

Probably a shorted cap on the motherboard…

This repair can be somewhat difficult as you do need to (micro) solder. Do you have any experience with this?

I have experience with micro soldering,

I have checked majority of caps and cant find a short.

honest to god iv seen that post and it answered nothing, i cant even find the chip jiiko2361 is showing in his solution on my boards xD

Hmm, can you please share some pictures with us? It must be something on the motherboard as replacing the game card reader didn’t fixed it :(.

I have an OLED with this problem 2002-2629 how do I insert the cartridge. is it possible to know which components need to be checked? everything else works perfectly even the audio and the headphone jack
