@earlmoney, you're looking at needing a new front sensor assembly, at least that's where the error code is indicating the problem is coming from. There's a wiki page on the SMC Panic Assertion Failed errors that details all the error codes we know of and what our best information indicates they mean.

iPhone SMC Panic Assertion Failed - iFixit

Here's the specific part your error is referring to.

iPhone 14 Pro Front Sensor Cable

Unfortunately, it's part of the Face ID system, so replacing it will mean Face ID will no longer work. I'd suggest checking the front sensor connector carefully for any bent pins or loose connection, but outside of that, any damage to that component means bye bye to Face ID.

iFixit doesn't have a guide specifically made for replacing the front sensor assembly, but the screen replacement guide gives you everything you need to know; the only difference is which part is new; the screen or the sensors.

iPhone 14 Pro Screen Replacement - iFixit Repair Guide

The only way I am aware of to get that part replaced and keep your Face id working is to pay Apple to replace the screen; their new ones come with the front sensors already attached so you'd be getting a new assembly with the new screen, which will fix the boot loop problem you're seeing. The only other alternative is to use their self repair program, which will save you a little money but you still have to buy the screen from Apple and use their tools to get access to the "calibration tool" that will pair the assembly to your phone.

Things may change with iOS 18 but I'm not clear on exactly how the changes will work for what you want to do; we will find out more as time goes on.
