Any methods to repair minor scratches?

I'm expecting the same answer I usually get regarding questions. While this TV (Sony XBR-65X850D) is 8 years old, it displays a great picture and performs when using external streaming devices (FireTV 4K Max, FireTV Cube, & AppleTV 4k, all the most current models). However, a few minor blemishes or minor scratches are mostly unnoticeable. Any suggest repair or mitigation solutions? I want to keep this as my second TV for quite a while! TIA

Hi @rsicard

You say that it is mostly unnoticeable then I would leave well enough alone.

When attempting to remove scratches etc from a screen, there's a good chance that you will create more problems than there already is.

For example, if using any sort of liquid to clean the screen to remove dirt from the scratch to make it less apparent then there's a possibility of it running down the screen and getting past the bezel and into the electronics.

Also when trying to buff out any scratches using a polish or even toothpaste, if too much pressure is applied when doing this, its can damage the fragile connections between the rows of pixels in the screen etc..
