Left and right joycons not being able to calibrate after repair.

Hi I recently replaced both my right and left joycon sticks for my animal crossing switch. I finished both repairs and I went to go calibrate the new joystick and it's not working. I've tried updating the joycons, I've power cycled my switch, and my switch is up to date on all updates, I've opened them both back up to ensure the ribbons are properly attached as well so I have no idea what the issue is. Any and all advice is appreciated!
