Why is my VCR howling?
I played the video for an hour. But suddenly it stops working and it starts whistling then the screen disappeared.
Update (01/16/25)
what code is the small white part ?
Is this a good question?

Hi @fusionsm103
What is the VCR doing now i.e. does it turn or or not, load/eject tape, if loading does the tape start with no picture but sound OK etc.
If there's still a screeching sound heard then here's the service manual that will help.
It describes the procedure to open the player and this will allow you to find out where the noise is coming from.
If it is determined that is is an electrical noise then the manual has schematic and board layout diagrams.
If it is mechanical, there's a parts list as well.

Would you mind if you show me a step by step fixing?
The components image is so confusing
You have to open it up and check what's happening first.
Go to p.8 of 52 (or Sect 2-1) to see how to remove the top panel unit.
This will allow you to see what's happening inside.
As yet you haven't said what is or isn't to the questions I asked first in my answer.
IMPORTANT!
Be safety aware if you decide to open it up.
There's exposed lethal AC voltage on some boards etc inside the device so watch what you touch or better yet don't touch anything on the inside when the power is connected. Your life is worth more than a VCR player
Disconnect the power first and then open it up, have a look for anything obvious e.g. broken parts or burnt out components and if it all looks OK, reconnect the power and turn it on and see if it does turn on with screeching or not and then load a tape and check what happens.
Best option is to check if you can find where it broke off from or look at the component chart on p.45 and p.46 to see if you can locate it there and then if you can correlate the part reference number in the diagram to the part reference number in the parts list on p.51→ to find the spare part number and then search for that number online to hopefully find suppliers. You're in a better position to do this then I am., finding out where it came from I mean.
I can’t understand how to fix. Could you please help me doing a step by step fix?
