How can I remove this melted plastic on my headset?
Hi, I had my Arctis Pro Wireless for 2-3 years now and the hinges died on me completely at this point. Headset is super loose and I went ahead and bought a replacement part for the casing.
Now I ran into this issue, I don’t know how to remove this “melted plastic” (might be glue i’m not too sure) that they have inside the headset to lock in the outer shell. I have to remove this to be able to transfer the battery port from the old casing to the new one.
Any recommendations would be fantastic.
Is this a good question?

They appear as factory plastic welding, melting plastic to permanently weld parts together. If you are sure they are preventing separation of parts, you can use electronic wire cutters to snip off plastic until separation occurs. After reassemby, either melt the plastic to weld things together, apply plastic cement compatible with the plastic or epoxy (JB Weld). There are 5 minute epoxies for faster bonding if JB Weld takes too long to harden (overnight).

@notbroken hey man, i’ll it a try. I was using an exacto knife earlier but it was just too hard to cut with it. Thanks for the reply.
