My Switch dock has no power and no HDMI connection.

I took the dock to France and it didn't connect to the TV there. When I brought it home it didn't respond to the power cord and the HDMI cord. Like it's dead. :-(

My switch is working fine.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@lizpitman had you tried with a different usb c power adapter?

by

Yeah, please try another USB-C adapter and see how that goes. Otherwise it’s probably the Dock it’s motherboard. Be aware that France is using 220.

Yes, I tried different cables. Then I tried my mini dock . It has a button on it and I pushed it. My Switch connected! Then I plugged in the regular dock and it worked. I could not find a button anywhere on the regular dock.

So, it works now? What do you mean with mini dock? Is this an aftermarket dock for the Switch?

by

I bought a "mini" dock to take with me when I go out of town. It's for the switch, and I bought it from Walmart. It's smaller and the dock that I got when I got the Switch. That is like the size of a book and sits on the TV stand upright with the Switch dropped into the dock. The little one has the HDMI plug for a cord, and the power plug for a cord. And the connection to plug in the Switch.

I tried my mini dock . It has a button on it and I pushed it. My Switch connected! Like a restart button. Then I plugged in the regular dock and it worked with my switch. I could not find a button anywhere on the regular dock.
