Background

Make sure this is your cell phone before attempting repair processes outlined on this page. The LG VX7000 is a flip phone, first marketed in the US in 2004 with Verizon Wireless. The phone has a camera and external LCD screen. Compare the external appearance of your device to the picture at the top of this page.

The LG VX7000 is the first cell phone to have a rotating camera, allowing you to take pictures both when the phone is flipped open or closed. The camera also comes equipped with a built in flash. It is also one of the first phones capable of recording video, browsing the web, and sending pictures via messaging.

Verizon sold this phone in either blue or black. When purchased, it came with a removable lithium ion battery capable of 3.3 hours of talk time, or 7.5 days of standby, as well as a wall charger.

There are no device recalls to date for either the phone itself or the charger.

The LG VX7000 is now discontinued. In leiu of the VX7000 LG began producing phones with higher quality cameras, faster web browsers, and slimmer profiles.
