Background
The Logitech G920 Driving Force steering wheel is an 8th-generation cross-platform racing wheel created by the manufacturer Logitech and released to the public in 2015. The Logitech G920 Driving Force wheel is a large steering wheel meant to emulate the feel of a car for use in racing simulation games on the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC. While the wheel replaced the Logitech G27 in 2015, it maintained its predecessor's technical specifications. The Logitech G920 has dual-motor force feedback, RPM shift indicator LEDs, and is supplied with a pedal set consisting of an accelerator, brake, and clutch, along with an additional “H Pattern” gear shifter that is sold separately. The Logitech G920 Driving Force was replaced by the Logitech G923 in August 2020.
Identification
The Logitech G920 Driving Force steering wheel is identified by its realistic resemblance to a car’s steering wheel and pedals but on a smaller scale. It also has the Xbox emblem on the button center portion of the wheel and uses the XYAB buttons associated with the Xbox. The wheel is equipped with paddle shifters and additional buttons on the face of the wheel to aid you in the game. Unlike the steering wheel, the pedals do not have any obvious emblems or markings. It is a three-pedal controller that simulates gas, brake, and clutch. The model number is on the bottom side of the base of the wheel and pedal controllers. The device only comes in black leather and dark gray for the metallic parts.
