Background and Identification
The Motorola Moto G4 Play (model number XT1609 visible on the sticker at the bottom of the battery space) has as key features: Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, Android 6.0.1 marshmallow operating system, 2GB of memory, an all-day 2800mAh battery, an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera; it is splash-proof design and carrier friendly. It was launched in June 2016 as the fourth generation of the G family. The phone can now be updated to the Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
In the generation 4 of the G family, Moto G4 Play is to be considered as the phone with the lowest specifications, having the Moto G4 Plus as the most advanced. It's unique feature is the 5'' HD screen. You can identify your phone is the Moto G4 Play by the size (144.4 x 72 x 9.9 mm) since the Moto G4 has a bigger size (153 x 76.6 x 9.8 mm). Also, the Moto G4 Play doesn't have any home button , while the Moto G4 Plus does.
