How to Install Chromium OS Onto a Laptop Running Windows

Editing Step 2 —

Step Type:

Drag to rearrange

To do this, you will have to access the BIOS/UEFI Setup on your device. For information on how to do this, please consult with your computer/laptop manufacturer's instruction manual.

However, here are some non-specific make/model instructions for booting into the BIOS.

Dell: Tap F12 when the Dell logo is displayed.

HP: Tap F9 when the HP Logo is displayed.

Lenovo: Tap F12 when the Lenovo logo is displayed.

Once in the BIOS Setup Utility, you should have an Advanced Tab. Navigate to that tap, and select Boot Order (or something similar to boot devices, boot order, etc)

Rearrange the order of the boot devices to make that your USB Stick or your SD Card (if supported) is the very first option.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NOT ALL BIOS/UEFI SETUP UTILITIES WILL SUPPORT BOOTING FROM AN SD CARD.
