When a GE oven or range stops working, an error code may be stored in its memory to guide you in troubleshooting the problem. Various models have different methods of accessing and clearing the codes.

Simultaneously press the Timer, Clock, and 9 keys. The Min Down key can be used instead of the 9 key in this combination. To clear the codes use the Min Up or 8 keys simultaneously with the Hr Down or 6 keys. Later units use 8 and 6 keys only.

Simultaneously press the 1 and 5 keys for 3 seconds (enters service mode and displays tESt). Then press Steam Clean to see the most recent F code.

Simultaneously press the 3,1 and 0 keys. Toggle between upper and lower oven codes using the Start key. Pressing 0 and 9 simultaneously will clear the code (8 and 6 on the JGS760)

Simultaneously press Timer, Clock and Upper Start keys. Display shows F-cd and prompts for Upper or Lower entry. code is displayed after selection. Pressing 0 and 9 simultaneously will clear the code.

Enter 3-3-6-6 on the number pad and press Enter. From the menu, choose <Settings>, then <System>, then <Service Mode>. There will be an item for fault retrieval.

Hold the Mini-Knob button during power-up (may need a helper). Use the Timer button to step through the test mode options. When the display shows F-co, press the Mini-Knob button to enter the menu, and step through the codes.
