Shouldn’t the RAM description in the layout breakdown be more like 4 4Gb chips for a total of 16 GB?

Clean out corrosion here (if present) while the board is removed if you can. My "patient" was covered with the stuff, even over onto parts of the logic board connecting port's leads, creating a dangerous environment!
