Apparently, Error Code E22/5100 is an issue with the carriage movement. Something might have jammed it up. Check for any paper jams, and try out this guide to see if these steps help at all https://smartprintsupplies.com/blogs/new...-carriage-jam-how-to-clear-stalled-carriage-error-on-hp-all-in-one-printer
Read moreAnxiety is wonderful, ain’t it? I think you’re fine. It’s all charging happy, and there’s no damage to the connectors, so it might have just been a tiny bit of static discharge, or reflecting light. Either way, I don’t think there’s anything to worry about
Read moreYou handled it well. You took full responsibility and took appropriate steps to address the issue. That’s the best thing you can do in situations like this. Keep the customer well informed, don’t try to hide any issues from them, and give them an action plan on how you’re going to resolve the issue. That’s the best possible path you can take when issues appear! Only thing I’d suggest to to make the customer aware that repairs don’t always go to plan, and there’s a small, but non-zero chance, that further issues may arise after repairs. They shouldn’t worry too much, and you’d be happy to discuss the issue further with them if anything does come up. Customers need to be aware of, and accept, that small risk with any electronic repair, and if they don’t, you’re going to be in serious trouble if something does come up. There will always be an issue now and then when fixing anything. Repairs don’t always go right, people make mistakes, and sometimes, luck just isn’t on your side. As long as you continue this...
Read moreMight be a software issue. That’s certainly the easiest place to start. Use a laptop or PC with iTunes install to reset the iPad. Here’s a guide on how to do that https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201252
Read moreDepends what sort of risk you want to take! I’ve never actually used any iFixit parts, but their warranty and quality seems to be top-notch. THAT is what you’re paying for with iFixit. Everything they do is FOR the repairer. They make your life easy, painless, and stress free. That’s why you pay 2-5x more than you pay for things off eBay Personally, I use screens off eBay. But that can be risky, so I offer warranties on screens. Every so often, a screen will just arrive dead, die shortly after fitting, and if you’re unlucky, it might cause even more damage to your device! If you want to go for the cheapo screens you see on places like Alibaba and eBay, feel free. Most of the time, they’ll work fine, and you’ll have many happy budget focused customers. But be prepared to cover yourself when the worst happens, that replacement for a dodgy screen will be coming out of your pocket, not the original seller’s.

Read moreAny gentle, non-focused heat source should be fine. A hairdryer, space heater or radiator will all work. Just be careful to not get it TOO hot, otherwise you could damage the motherboard or LCD.
Read moreUnfortunately, I don’t think there’s any way to save your data at this point. It needs to be fully reset if you ever want to get back into it. I very much doubt Apple will be willing to help you and I’ve never heard of any independent shops being able to get around a device being locked, but it might be worth giving them a call and asking
Read moreSounds like a dying screen to me. Possibly an issue with the connectors. I’d suggest opening it up, fully disconnecting the screen, checking the pins for any sign of damage or dust inside, firmly reseating the connectors again and trying again If that doesn’t work, it might have just been a poorly made screen. Replacement screens can be a bit of a lottery sometimes, so you might have to replace it again
