Read moreHaa I had this situation too, Is it possible that you didnt unpluged the battery before unplugging the lcd ? The iPad mini is known for blowing the Backlight circuit when their is still power through the board. To make sure this is really your situation, shoot some light directly on the lcd while everything is plugged and turned on. You may be able to see something, like if the brightness was really low. Another way, is to plug it in the computer. If it tries to install the driver or is seen by iTunes, that mean it's still power on. If you live in the US, send it to Jessa (ipad rehab). If you are in Canada, I Could help you with this problem. Thank you Maxime
Read moreHi Jasmine This look like a short circuit on the main power line. Without proper tools and schematic of the board, it will be quite difficult to repair. Charging phones in computer or car can lead to this situation. Even more possible if you were using a cheap usb cable. Maxime
Read moreHi This is clearly means that no power goes to the backlight of your lcd. You have 2 choices. 1. If you have a multimeter and soldering equipement I can help you troubleshoot and find the defective components. 2. If you live in the US, you can send your phone to Jessa from iPad Rehab. She is an expert in this field. Its quite hard to do so I recommend option number 2 unless you want to learn this. Max One
Read moreHi I suggest that you use a liquid adhesive remover rather than just heat. Be carefull if you havent remove your lcd. You dont want to spill this on your iPad lcd. There is many different kind of adhesive remover. I recommend that you use wipe or something similar rather than spraying/dropping the solution directly on your iPad frame. Here is what you could use: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0019GG2K6...-1&rps=1&keywords=adhesive+remover&dpPl=1... This is not what I personnaly use but it should do the same. Max One
Read moreHi Erik, I would role out the software issue since the factory reset didnt help you and because the problem appear progressively. It looks more like a faulty part that was dying. I think it maybe your baseband or Wifi IC chips. Or one of the components that are related to thoses chips. Aside if have High soldering skills and good equipement (mostly a good microscope), I dont recommend that you try to repair this yourself. You can ask Jessa from iPad Rehab if you live in the US. But I not even sure that she we be able to help you since it's a somewhat uncommon issue. Max One
Read moreHi Richie, I had this problem a few times now. The best way to deal this problem is to try your digitizer without completely closing your iPad. For example, try it horizontaly. Is it working fine? If no, then is the parts or the motherboard. If its working fine but start having trouble as you install it then it may be the parts or the way you handle the flex cable. Try to see from which point does it start to jump around. Usually, you'll be able to figure out if its the digizer that make a metal to metal contact somewhere or if its the flex cable that didnt like his day. I had a pretty much even situation between bad digitizer, miss hsndling the flex cable and none covered metal parts. I hope that it will help you. Max One
Read moreHi Josh First: How do you know if your phone is turned on if you have no screen? In any case, just unplug the battery. 2. Are you using the same glass again and again or a new one each times? Because loca is really messy and pratically impossible to clean at 100,I suggest you use a new one to be sure. To minimize your bubbles you have to gently place your glass on your lcd. And by gently I mean the slowest you can. A spudger or dental pick my help as lever. If the glass drop too quickly it will create a movement in the glue which will add air. Air in liquid = bubble. Once your glass is place over your lcd, you can press in the center up to the edge to remove the excess of loca and at the same time you'll remove the bubble. 3. Between 15 to 30 minutes. I dont think you can over cure it. So more is better than less. My final advice is : dont do loca. It's to unpredictable and i had a few of my screen that eventually stop working. Max One
Read moreHi Gio This is probably your lcd flex cable. I got this problem a few times and it's always the flex cable. In the iPad 2 the lcd flex cable can be bought separely from the screen. I would try this first. Max One
Read moreHi there. I think it maybe your front camera flex cable. Sometimes it can be internally damaged when you switch it from your old screen to the new one. The front camera flex cable is the relay for the ear speaker. Try changing your front camera flex cable first. Max One
