I also broke this antenna off. I left it off as per suggestion. Everything seems to still work fine.

Oops, i missed step 5. Wait at least five hours, then charge your laptop uninterrupted to 100%. I charged it to 100% right after it went to sleep. It did seem slow to charge after that, so I reset the SMC. It now seems to be charging normally. I hope I did not damage by skipping that step.

I completely missed how this was done first time. The big blue backing sheet is pulled out from underneath. I was in too much of a hurry to study the instructions carefully. I paid the price. Somehow it worked how in the end, but would have been so much easier with a clear idea.

I finally got around to replacing both my fans. I had tried cleaning and putting drop of WD40 on the post of each one. They worked, but were noisy. Now I have replaced both fans and the computer is absolutely quiet(as far as I can tell) And cooler too. I went ahead and upgraded to 10.7(the highest OS it will take), so it is like I have a new computer. Thanks, ifixit
