Was your phone extremely hot when removed from blankets? Phones usually shut themselves down to prevent overheating. Place it in a cool place to let it cool down. If it starts working again, it should be fine. However, if it won't start or the battery is swollen, you should get a new battery for it.

Replacing the USB-C board may fix the issue, sometimes this may not works.

One of the USB-C port on my laptop only deliver power but no data transmission. I installed a new board but the issue exists. I assume the Thunderbolt or USB IC was damaged.
