Device won't turn on
Your Echo device won't power on or respond to any commands.
Device is not plugged into the wall outlet properly
Safely ensure the power cord is plugged snugly into both the wall outlet and the back of the device. If the cord connection is not the issue, ensure that the Echo has not been fully powered down, rather than just being in 'sleep mode'.
Faulty or damaged power cord or power jack
Safely check the unplugged power cord for fraying or broken wires. If damaged, replace the power cord. If you think the power jack may be faulty, please refer to the power jack replacement guide for more information.
Faulty battery
If component is faulty or damaged, replacement is necessary.
Faulty motherboard
If component is faulty or damaged, replacement is necessary. Please see the motherboard replacement guide linked here for more details.
Distorted audio
Your Echo device is working properly, but audio output sounds distorted or is absent.
Echo is muted
Check within the device’s settings under the ‘Sound’ section to ensure ‘Media’ and ‘Alarms, Timers, and Notifications’ volumes are adjusted to an audible range using the horizontal sliders present (lowest volume on the left side, and max volume towards the right side of the slider bar).
'Do Not Disturb' is toggled on
This setting will not mute alarms and timers, but will silence notifications. Check within the device settings under the ‘Do Not Disturb’ section or in the Home page pull-down menu to ensure this setting has not been toggled on.
Broken or blown out speakers
If your device's speaker have been blown out or broken in any manner, you'll need to replace its one subwoofer and two tweeter components. Please see the speaker linked replacement guides for the tweeter and woofer for more details.
Faulty speaker and power driver board
If this unit is broken or faulty, replacement is necessary.
Display is malfunctioning
Your Echo device is on, but is not displaying anything on screen.
Device isn't on/plugged into outlet correctly
Safely make sure the cord is securely plugged into both the device as well as a wall outlet. Also, check for damage to the cord, which may require replacement.
Brightness is set to minimum value
Check within the device's settings in the 'Display and Brightness' section to ensure screen brightness is adjusted to a visible range using the horizontal slider, ranging from darkest on the left and max brightness on the right. You can also adjust the brightness using the slider present on the top pull-down menu on the Home screen.
Faulty display/screen
If the screen is damaged or faulty, replacement is necessary. Please see the display replacement guide for more details.
Device is unable to connect to the internet
Your Echo device will not connect to the internet. This may be indicated by the WiFi section within the device settings appearing blank.
Your WiFi network might be down
Check other devices connected to the desired network to verify it's up and able to be connected to by your Echo device.
Device is too far away from your router
Moving your Echo device closer to your internet modem and away from walls may improve its wireless connection.
Interference from other electronics
Try moving your Echo device away from other potentially interfering electronics, such as microwaves and baby monitors.
Router needs to be restarted
To manually reboot your router, unplug the router first, then the modem. Wait around 30 seconds to 1 minute, then plug devices back in, starting with the modem and ending with the router. Try to reconnect to the desired WiFi network after doing so.
Echo device needs a factory reset
Check within the settings in the ‘Device Options’ section and select the ‘Reset to Factory Default’ to perform a full reset.
Alexa is not responding
Your device's Alexa is not responding to vocal cues, and doesn't seem to hear commands given even when prompted manually.
Microphones is turned off
If an orange bar spanning the bottom perimeter of the screen (while on the home page) is visible, or a small icon of a circle with a slash is present in the top right corner of the screen (also while on the home page), your device may have its microphone muted. To unmute, press the small button with that same circle slash symbol on it located on the top edge of the device’s screen.
'Wake Word' is incorrectly set
Alexa may not be responding if your prompt word doesn’t match what’s listed within the settings. Check within the device’s settings in the ‘Device Options’ sections to change the ‘Wake Word’ to what you would prefer to use to activate the voice-controlled Alexa.
Damaged or faulty microphone board
In the case of a damaged or faulty microphone board, replacement may be necessary. Please see the microphone replacement guide for more details.

Hi I have tried all the fixes for my echo show 10 not connecting. I have done a complete factory reset . At present the show is searching for networks and cannot find any. I am now stuck on the screen showing searching for networks .The device worked fine for almost to 2 years and then suddenly disconnected from my Wifi and now will not connect at all. Could this be a power supply issue

This is the same thing that happened with my daughter's. My husband brought it home and it works fine on our wifi. Going to look for interference.
