Part of the phone screen is blacked out

Oh no, there’s a black spot on part of your screen or the entire screen is black.

Restart the phone

Usually your phone just needs a few minutes to rest. Simply hold the alt key, then also hold the right shift and delete keys until the red indicator light appears. Your phone will restart itself.

Remove battery

If restarting your phone doesn't seem to work, the next logical step is to remove the battery. To do this, slide off your battery cover and remove your battery. Make sure to leave it out for about five minutes. After the long wait, put the battery back and restart the phone. Is your problem fixed?

Charge Battery

Simply try to plug your phone into its charger and leave it alone for a while. Make sure the red light indicator is on, so that you know it is charging. After it’s completely charged try playing around with you phone.

Replace screen

Blurry camera

You can’t see a friend's face clearly.

Wipe off camera lens

Grab a nice smooth cloth and some lens cleaner. Spray the cleaner on the camera and wipe it down. Is your screen still blurry?

Restart camera app

An easy fix to this devastating problem is to shut down the app and restart it.

Restart phone

Uninstall/re-install camera app

Go under settings and locate applications. Uninstall the camera app from the phone. Once you are done, re-install the app.

Phone won't turn on

Your phone is being stubborn and doesn't want to get out of bed

Drained/dead/bad battery

This can be a very simple repair. Try charging the phone. Turn the phone on after about half an hour of waiting. If the phone still doesn't turn on, try replacing the battery. This is located on the back of the phone under the silver cover. Once you slide the cover off, you will see the battery. Pull the battery out and place a new one in its spot. Charge the phone and see if it turns on. Did that work?

Bad display

Remove the battery to ensure the phone is off. Then put the battery back in. Press the power button and give it enough time to start. Plug your phone into your computer using a USB cord. If the computer recognizes the phone, you have a bad display. Follow the link to replace it.

Bad logic board

Cursor is stuck

The black button refuses to cooperate

Restart phone

Try turning your phone off by holding the power button for a few minutes. Sometimes, the phone needs a few minutes to catch up with its thought process. Hold the alt button, then also hold the right shift and delete keys until a red LED appears. The phone will restart itself.

Factory reset

Occasionally your phone needs a few minutes to rest. Simply hold the alt key, then also hold the right shift, and delete keys until the red indicator light appears. Then it’ll restart itself.

Replace cursor

Hi there RECOVERY HELP NEEDED

Blackberry torch had many voice recordings from 2015 til now. The voice recordings have disappeared - the microsd card I thought they loaded to has nothing on it.

Help is needed for voice recordings to be retrieved- theyre of my mom and dad who are no longer living - very important info I’d like to retrieve and meetings telephone calls etc

Can someone help - please .
