Why is my remote not working?

My speakers work fine, but when I try to use the remote to change the volume or turn off the speaker, nothing happens.

There are 3 reasons this could be happening:

1.) Speakers Don't Recognize Remote

2.) Remote Battery Is Dead

3.) Buttons Not Functioning
