Broke the keyboard cable latch

I've managed to break the latch flap and now I can't use the keyboard anymore.

I tried to place a thin plastic underneath to hold the ribbon in place, but no luck.

It looks like I have to replace that connector. Does anyone know the part number for that and where to buy it from?

If there is other option, please advise.. Thanks, Dan

I did the same to.... I doubt that you can heat solder on a new connector as I guess it also melts the plastic latch... new board or you have yourself a bunch of spares.

You’ll need to check with good light and magnification if you really broke the part or have just dislodged it. The flap has two small hooks that keep it in place. Unless you broke the soldered part you may just need to put flap back in place, otherwise you’ll need to solder the new connector to the board. Never seen those parts for sale anywhere, you’ll likely need to find a broken board for parts.
