Problem with fingerprint sensor

After changing my screen the fingerprint sensor is only working very sporadically. I even tried entering new fingerprints and it kept giving me an error message saying that the sensor was dirty, so I cleaned it off with an alcohol wipe and it still didn't work.

Could it be that I just got a faulty screen/sensor?

If that doesn’t help.

Open it up and check the ribbon and connector for damage, also check the connector on the board.
