Optical Drive Not Making Sound at Startup

Hey guys, weird issue. I just replaced the logic board on this MacBook, and now the optical drive makes no noise at startup. Before, you know, there would be a humming and clicking sound and eventually the Startup Chime. Now, just the startup chime. The optical drive works just fine. But, the old logic board will activate the optical drive at startup whereas the new one will not. Everything works just fine, and it doesn't seem to be affecting anything else, I was wondering why it's not doing anything. And, if this is a problem, how could I fix it?

@danj & @livfe - Turns out is was a firmware issue. My Mac’s firmware was at 1.2, and I needed to update it to 1.4. That’s all it took. The optical drive now sounds great at startup! It’s funny how some of the strangest issues have the most simple fixes!

What you are seeing (really not) is the pecking order of the drives is no longer set to check the optical drive first. Going into the Startup Prefs allows you to alter it.
