Keyboard Issue - Some keys are working and some not.

Block Image

Exact model Toshiba Satellite A665-S5170 I am wondering what keyboard layout setting should I put it as? US Extended? Some keys are working and some not, then 2 minutes later some are back in operation, then not, 567890..... maybe due to keyboard layout setting, currently on US English, weird. Cable inside looks to be connected fully....It was all working fine yesterday....or just suddenly as if by magic it needs a new keyboard or cable? It sometimes works, sometimes not...

@livfe what you are describing does not sound like a settings issue. A wrong keyboard setting would not turn into a "go-no go" situation. It would be either one at all times. This could be a bad keyboard matrix or keyboard controller. I would try to replace the keyboard.

Since iFixit does not yet have a specific guide for that, try something like this video

Yes it was the keyboard, replaced with a new and all working fine.
