The switch for the heating element stopped working

Does the switch need repair or the heating element and how do you replace? The housing looks sealed?

this looks like a good tear down video. After opening it up you can use a multimeter to trace the circuit to see what is open. Most likely would be the heating element, but it could be a bad switch.
