Background
Initially released in 2016 under the model BRV-1M, the device operates as an upgraded and more durable version of the BRV-1 speaker. It comes equipped with an IPX7 waterproof rating, which protects the speaker from rain, mud, and any submersion above 3.3 ft (1 meter). The BRV-1M also comes equipped with Bluetooth capabilities, boasting a wireless range of about 30 feet and a total playtime of about 12 hours.
Identification
Under the hinged-cap on the rear, the BRV-1M houses a 3.5 mm auxiliary jack as well as a micro-USB charging port, and the model is printed.
