Ensure that the gun's safety is on. This is a slide on the top of the gun. To activate the safety, slide this backwards. The red dot should NOT be visible.

Safety: Prevents the trigger from being pulled; this is a slide which located on the top of the gun behind the barrel.

Never rest your finger on or pull the trigger when you do not intend to shoot.

Trigger: A curved piece of metal behind the receiver, it is what you pull with your finger when a round is loaded, the safety is off, and aiming at a target in order to fire the gun.
