Joystick Drift
Thumbstick is not responding accurately to input of movement.
Outdated Firmware
If the firmware is out of date, it can be the cause of inaccurate joystick readings. Outdated firmware may also complicate calibration.
Joystick is Dirty
Ensure that no lingering debris or substances are enclosed under the joysticks. If there is, use a small amount of rubbing alcohol with a Q-tip to clean the substance or debris, or use an Xbox cleaning kit. Be sure not to overuse rubbing alcohol.
Joystick is Broken

Stuck buttons/Jammed triggers
Buttons won't respond or appear to be broken or missing.
Debris Build-Up
When buttons can't be pressed, there may be something below the physical button, like debris, holding it up. To correct this, remove the button with this guide and clean the underneath. After it is clean, the button can be snapped back into place.
Faulty Buttons

Turtle Beach Recon Not Responding
Turtle Beach Recon won't turn on or won't respond to any controls.
Disconnected From Gaming Console
Ensure that your Turtle Beach Recon is properly connected to gaming console via wire. To do this, plug the included USB cable into the top of the Turtle Beach Recon and connect it to the console.
Faulty Wire
If the Turtle Beach Recon is connected properly via the USB cable to the console. It is likely that the wire itself is preventing the connection. Check for breakage, and try replacing the wire with a new USB cable.
Water Damage
Water damage can be the cause of numerous issues with Turtle Beach Recon. Be sure to remove the front and back plates with this guide immediately after exposure to water. This will help with airflow and prevent further damage once the water has entered the components. Use a clean cloth to dry any visible droplets. Once significantly dried, inspect the motherboard for signs of corrosion using isopropyl alcohol, high the concentration the more efficient. If there is visible corrosion, then you want to disassemble and clean the components individually.

Faulty Motherboard
If the above solutions have failed to address the issue and your Turtle Beach Recon remains unresponsive, the motherboard itself is most likely the cause. Motherboards can fail for a number of reasons, including heat, water, and ware. In this case, the motherboard can be replaced using this guide.
Distorted Audio
Audio through headphone port is distorted or can't be heard.
Debris in Audio Jack
Ensure that the inside of the headphone jack is free of dust and debris that may interfere with the headphone connection. Remove any debris using a small amount isopropyl alcohol with a Q-tip, and be sure not to overuse the alcohol.
Loose Headphone Jack
If you find that the audio cuts in and out, then it is likely due to a loose audio jack. To fix this, check to make sure that the audio jack is fully intact to your Turtle Beach Recon. If it isn't, it can simply be screwed in back in place by hand.
Faulty Audio Port
If the above solutions prove to be unsuccessful in solving the issue. It may be either the headphones you are using or the audio port itself. Test your headphones against another pair. Turtle Beach Recon Won't Connect to PC
Turtle Beach Recon is connected to PC via USB Port, but is not recognized by the PC.
Faulty USB Port
If your Turtle Beach Recon's Firmware is up to date, the issue may be due to a faulty USB port on your PC. Try connecting to a different USB Port if your PC has one.
Incompatible Firmware
If you have updated Firmware, but come across the error message "The Firmware is not properly installed (code28), there are no compatible Firmware available for this controller." It may be the case that the Firmware is not compatible with your PC.
