PDA will not turn on
Your PDA does not start when the power button is held.
Battery problems
If your PDA does not turn on when the power button is held, the battery may be the source of this problem. First try docking the PDA at its charging station and then turning it on. If the PDA displays that it is charging but does not turn on, see bad power button below. If nothing happens, refer to bad motherboard below. If charging the battery does not activate your PDA, you likely have a faulty battery. Refer to "PDA only works when docked" below or the battery repair guide.
Bad power button
If the screen remains black after holding the power button, then the power button itself may not be working properly. If the PDA is responsive when docked but does not power up, you might need to follow the button repair guide.
Bad motherboard
If your PDA seems completely dead, the motherboard may be the source of the problem. The motherboard is most likely the problem if it has been determined that both the battery and power button are operating correctly. Please refer to the motherboard repair guide to replace the motherboard.
Screen is blank
Your PDA will turn on, but the screen is blank.
Bad LCD
If your PDA will turn on but the screen is blank, you most likely need to replace the LCD screen. First, make sure your PDA is fully charged by plugging it in and letting it charge for at least 30 minutes. Then restart your device. If the problem persists, use the LCD replacement guide.
Bad motherboard
If after replacing the LCD screen, your screen is still blank, then there is most likely a problem with your motherboard. Please use the motherboard repair guide to replace the motherboard.
PDA will not vibrate
Your PDA does not vibrate
Bad vibration motor
If your PDA is not vibrating when it should be, it is likely that the vibration motor is broken. Try setting a vibration alarm by putting your PDA in silent/vibration mode and setting an alarm. If your PDA's notification light illuminates but does not vibrate, your vibration motor may need to be replaced. If you want to attempt to resolve this issue yourself, try referring to our vibration motor repair guide.
PDA only works when docked
Your PDA only functions when it is docked on its charging station.
Battery problems
If your PDA will not function or turn without the use of your docking station, then there may be a problem with your battery. You should first hook up your PDA to your charging station to see if the battery is dead and if your PDA needs to recharge. If the PDA will still not turn after charging, then there may be a problem with your battery and it may need to be replaced. Please refer to the battery removal and replacement guide.
Touch screen is unresponsive
Your PDA screen does not respond to any touch from the stylus.
Bad LCD
If your touch screen is unresponsive, there is most likely a problem with your LCD screen. An unresponsive touch screen will require the whole LCD screen unit to be replaced. Please refer to our LCD repair guide.
