Water on power button

So I was on my pc and without me realizing some water dripped onto my power button and now my pc keeps turning itself off every few minutes, I tried drying it off and unplugging the connection and putting it back in but it still does it. After turning off it won’t let me turn it back on for a few minutes as well. Anyone know how I can fix this?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @odst15ethan,

What is the make and model number of the motherboard and the PC case that it is mounted in?

An easy way to isolate it would be to try powering the pc on without the connector the button and any pcb there might be for the button. This is a bit difficult without knowing what board it is and what pins do what. Providing the information requested by @jayeff would help us giving you a better answer.

does your PC have water cooling? Maybe the water is on other places. OR maybe the cooler isn't working now and the PC is turning off because the CPU is overheating.
