And even I hope my diagnosis is wrong. If you Follow this guide and check all the connections before we go as drastically as attempting board level repair we might find an easier solution to the problem. It can however sound like there is something broken inside the unit or the thermal paste for the CPU isn't working as intended anymore due to age. Here is a guide to open the unit to look for damage. Read moreHave you tried clearing the cache? Update (03/25/24): Yeah. From recovery mode. Usually solves other software issues. If that doesn't work then I would probably open it up and look for any visible damage.

Read more@kokouehlan Have you isolated whether it is a specific slot or the stick itself? Look for any damage around the RAM slot if you already have the unit open.
