Bought a 2nd hand ps3 and after three days of playing fifa it started emitting some smoke. I switched it of and after some hours I connected it and still it emitted smoke. So what can be the problem and the solution and can I continue playing with it when emitting the smoke??

Sounds like a busted capacitor based on the little available information but it might also be the PSU itself. Can you describe a bit more where this smoke comes from and under what circumstances? Just from powering it on or when you make it work on a load processes for example

It is from the back of the ps3 around the hdmi portal and it had overheated the same day it emitted the smoke

The color of the smoke will help. If it is white, it is a capacitor. If it is dark it is a semiconductor device. Someplace in between could be a resistor. Since it keeps smoking, I'm guessing a resistor or a capacitor. Semiconductors generally fry open so it wouldn't keep smoking.
